9 Jan 2006 Name: Keri Email: Keri830@aol.com Age: 27 Country: not stated Surgery: Ileostomy IBD: not stated More Info: I have had the ileostomy since I was 14 due to ulcerative colitis, I also have only one ovary and one fallopian tube because of a very large cyst a couple years ago. My remaining tube is blocked..so I just started this week the begining of IVF. My husband and I are praying we'll be pregnant soon! =) Is there anyone who has gone through IVF with an ileostomy?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby and having absorbtion issues, particularly with fruits, vegetables and whole grains. I am taking prenatal vitamins several times a day. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am also curious as to what happens to the pouch (does it get squished? Does frequency increase?) as the baby gets larger. I would love to hear from anyone who has been pregnant with a j-pouch!

I came through it very well. 2 years ago I had a koch pouch revision and have just found out that I am pregnant again. Has anyone had a pregnancy with the koch pouch?

Bowel perforated after my C-section, became intangled with an umblical hernia that went undiagnoised during my pregnancy. I have sense had my ileostomy reversed, but suffer from accidents all the time now.

Had emergency surgery while prego March 2005, they said by bowel obstructed. I say "they" said my bowel obstructed cause i didn't have any problems days B4 this emergency life saving surgery. They told my husband we might not make it through the night. I have an perement ilestomy and my son passed away one month after the c-section. He was born brain dead, because of not getting oxygen while my bowel was obstructed.

I had alot of pain and problems. Had a planned c-section. The ob's discovered my j-pouch is adhered to my uterus due to scar tissue creating alot of problems during the pregnancy. Is there anyone out there that has had this similar situation?

I am worried about changes that may occur during a pregnancy with an illeostomy. I have been doing great for the last 14 years with the illeostomy.

It has decided to quit draining and I am awaiting surgery. I am looking for information from anyone who has had a continent diversion done after having had a urostomy. Hoping to hear from someone out there!!
