Hi Mary! Nice to "see" you here. I hope someone here can help you out. My pouch is going on 18 yrs old, but I have never had a hernia so I can't answer your question. I have had my original stoma redone when I had my ileal conduit and I was in the hospital for about 2 weeks with that,, but that was a different surgery. I would ask your surgeon what he plans on doing and how long a recovery it will be.
